This is a high quality premium generic purple sponge style washable primary Pre Motor Filter Assembly which is designed to fit OEM part number 917066-02. This filter is located directly between the dust bin assembly and the motor assembly, this filter is recommended to be washed at least once every 30 days, and replaced after 6-8 washings to ensure peak performance of your Dyson hand vacuum and stick vacuum. This filter protects any large debris from entering the motor, and gets clogged with fine dust and other particles which over time clog the filter, causing the motor to work harder, and run hotter. Many prefer to have two filters on hand, one to use while the other is drying, always having a dry clean filter to use. To wash the filter, simply remove the dust bin, pry the filter out, and wash under warm water until clean. Allow the filter to completely air dry before reusing to prevent damage to the motor. 水患後防傳染病 醫：傷口勿碰水

【台灣醒報記者蔡岳宏台北報導】水災易生病菌，醫師籲小心皮膚病狀和鉤端螺旋體感染！近日中南部豪雨成災，多處積水未退，台北長庚醫院主治醫師黃毓惠26日提醒，潮濕環境易刺激皮膚產生濕疹，若民眾長時間穿著雨鞋也易感染黴菌。疾管署副署長羅一鈞指出，若民眾皮膚的傷口暴露於汙水中，易感染鉤端螺旋體，死亡率可高達20%，若出現發燒、頭痛等感冒症狀應盡速就醫，並明確告知有無接觸汙水或動物、以及發病時間。
針對水災後須注意的皮膚疾病，黃毓惠指出，汙水刺激皮膚易導致濕疹，患者會奇癢無比，目前治療方式以塗抹藥膏為主。此外，汙水中藏納多種細菌，免疫功能不全與皮膚有傷口的民眾，應注意病菌透過傷口或嘴巴進入人體造成感染。黃毓惠建議，有傷口的患者一定要避免接觸汙水，並穿著長至小腿肚的雨鞋，但她也坦承「這次淹水嚴重，一定會泡在水裡。」若民眾有發燒，皮膚受傷症狀，應盡速就醫。
「人體皮膚能有效屏障外界病菌，若皮膚沒有傷口，就不用過於擔心。」黃毓惠提醒，長期穿著雨鞋容易導致黴菌感染，如香港腳等疾病，尤其糖尿病等慢性病患者最需注意。
「民國98年莫拉克颱風過後，於屏東縣萬丹鄉等災區陸續出現鉤端螺旋體病群聚事件，病患約有114例，其中1人死亡。」羅一鈞解釋，「鉤端螺旋體菌」通常存在於老鼠、家畜等哺乳類的排泄物中，因食入污染的水、食物，或民眾在清理汙水時，由皮膚傷口進入人體而感染，潛伏期約為10天，人傳人的案例極為罕見。臺灣地區的鉤端螺旋體病於颱風季節，水災過後易有較多確定病例發生。
羅一鈞指出，其臨床症狀變化很大，可從類似感冒的輕微型（約90%受感染者）到嚴重致命的黃疸型（約5-10%受感染者），典型的症狀包括高燒、嚴重頭痛、畏寒、肌肉痠痛及嘔吐，另外還可能出現黃疸、結膜充血、腹痛；嚴重患者若未及時治療，會進展到腎衰竭、肝衰竭等病變。此病如及早進行抗生素治療，通常可痊癒，但本身有肝、腎等慢性疾病且未經適當治療者之死亡率可能達20%。
「台灣每年鉤端螺旋體案例約1百例，數量並不多。」羅一鈞提醒，民眾若出現類似症狀應主動告知醫師，近期是否皮膚有接觸汙水、或因工作接觸老鼠易滋生的產所，「最好在5天內接受治療。」進行環境清潔前請先施行消毒，涉水時應著雨鞋、口罩和手套，避免接觸污染水質；工作完畢後，即刻以肥皂充分洗淨。
蓄水池如遭污水污染，應確實清洗、消毒後再蓄水，並將水徹底煮沸後再飲用，泡過水或解凍過久的食物請勿食用。羅一鈞建議，民眾可將含氯漂白水稀釋100倍，擦拭居家環境，或以10公升清水加40毫升漂白水稀釋進行消毒，並以清水沖洗乾淨後再使用。
改善北方大道 市交通局辦討論會

有鑒於皇后區北方大道(Northern Blvd.) 車禍頻傳，被喻為「新死亡大道」，市交通局(DOT)5日宣布，本月將舉辦三場公共研討會，聆聽民眾對此路段的意見，也將訂定道路安全辦法，修建北方大道、保障行人安全。
市交通局表示，2012年至今，已有13名行人在北方大道死亡，今年更有四起意外發生在皇后區廣場(queens plaza)及大中央公園大道 (Grand Central Parkway)附近；其中一場意外導致九歲男童安普洛(Giovanni Ampuero)喪命，當時他正與母親走過該路段的人行道。
愈接近日光節約時間(daylight savings)及萬聖節時，昏暗燈光更易導致孩子過馬路發生危險，因此改善北方大道的交通安全已刻不容緩；市議員卓姆(Daniel Dromm)表示，希望通過修整道路、制定相關政策等，讓北方大道如皇后大道(Queens Blvd.)一樣，不再是死亡大道的代名詞。
市交通局表示，三場公共研討會皆於晚6時半開始，第一場研討會訂於15日(周一)舉行，地點在路易斯阿姆斯特朗中學(Louis Armstrong Middle School)，地址是東艾姆赫斯特(East Elmhurst)交匯點大道(Junction Blvd)32-02號；第二場於22日(周一)在公立151小學舉行，地址是31大道50-05號；最後一場在29日(周一)公立166小學舉行，地址是長島市(Long Island City)35大道33-09號。
